About the program
Designing antenna and its feeding network has always been a challenging problem but it has now become more complicated than before due to increasing demand for more compact and efficient wireless devices. Reduced size, improved gain, low power consumption, precision in fabrication and testing etc. are the additional challenges in Antenna and RF design.
There has been tremendous growth in the applications of wireless communication networks over the last two decades and consequentially the requirement of skilled RF engineers has also been increased in same proportion. Identifying the need of the day, IIIT Allahabad has designed a specialized intensive one week training program for its students and other aspirants. The participants will be trained on Antenna simulation software, fabrication process and the use of RF test equipment.
This workshop is a platform where eminent scientists, researchers and industry are brought under one roof to discuss current practices, challenges, problems and solutions to the antenna and RF design. Last workshop (WARD 2012) focused on low power applications and had received overwhelming response. Following the feedback from the participants and experts the scope of WARD-2013 has been expanded to cover both high and low power applications.
